Lidia Prause is based in Santa Fe, Argentina. She studied at the Juan Mantovani College of Visual Arts, Santa Fe, and has been a member of several drawing workshops under the tutorage of Professor Oscar Esteban Luna. During 2002 she was a member of a human figure workshop under Professor Guillermo Roux in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina. During 2003 she was also a member of a drawing workshop under Professor Julián Usandizaga in the city of Rosario, Argentina.

In her work Lidia uses brushes, palette knifes and scrapers to bring the canvas alive with different layers of rich and dynamic textures. Her paintings are characterised by having geometric and abstract features constructed with striking polychromatic palettes and the application of the sgraffito technique.
